When buying an additional computer monitor . . .

Posted in Uncategorized on December 27th, 2009

When you start looking for an additional computer monitor to put next to your other desktop monitor, try to match, at the very least, the height of the new monitor.  If you don’t, you’ll end up with my situation…
Different Size Monitors

It is really noticable when I open a window and stretch it across the two monitors, and I find that the bottom is cropped (or chopped) off.

Also, I can’t get the top of the monitors the same due to the menu bar on the primary screen…they are off just a little, and moving small dialog boxes get caught up as I slide and position them at or across both monitors.

I don’t address or have tips or concerns on the width.  If you get the height the same, the width only affects the total width of your entire desktop space.

BTW, I’m going to keep my new monitor…it is nice.
