Here’s an part of Classmates Media Corporation which runs Classmates.com…

“Led by its flagship Classmates Web site in the United States (www.classmates.com), the company serves more than 40 million registered accounts, including 3.5 million pay accounts as of March 31, 2008. Members have contributed to the company’s social networking Web sites a substantial amount of distinct, relevant pieces of content that helps attract new social networking members and returning Web site visits from existing members.”

ICED COFFEE: Lee’s Sandwich better than Micky D’s

Posted in What? on August 28th, 2009

I’m no ta Peets or Starbucks regular, but Lee’s is sweeter and richer than the Golden Arch’s. And. Lee’s is cheaper!

Go ahead and setup your basic keyboard and computer, cheaply!

Posted in What? on August 28th, 2009

Okay, originally, I bought my Casio Midi Keyboard for approx. $250, the midi cables (2) for $20 (or was it $20/each?) and USB Midi interface (was it $30?) and connected it to my Mac G4 which came bundled with GarageBand (part of iLife).

Today, you can get this same setup, individually…
Midi keyboard:  free to $50
Midi cables: free to $20 (or $10/each)
USB Midi interface:  free to $49
Macintosh G4 computer:  free to $50 (make sure you get the original OS CD for reinstalling the OS, if you have to!)

There you go…from FREE to $169!

Optional:  External self-powered speakers with bass, or connect to your stereo system (I use an audio mixer which, new, costs $149, not including cables and adapters)

Since 2004, I have completed several music arrangements (I used music loops in GarageBand) for videos I’ve worked on.

Have fun!
