Jerks amongst us
Posted in What? on June 3rd, 2006As I slowly roll my motorcycle backwards out of the parking stall, something is stopping like a rock or something behind a tire. I think of that since it feels just like that…a little give, not a sudden stop like a wall. I dismount and look around the bike, concentrating on what may be blocking the tires, but I find nothing. Then, I see it. I’m pissed.
I go to the apartment sales office, where I live, and ask if their facility people have cable-cutters. The salesperson radios someone and responds to me that they don’t have one. I’m resigned to drive to work, and I’ll just work on the solution when I get back.
After work, I have two options I can do myself. One, get my hacksaw and go at it, but I find I don’t have it! So, it’s number two, use the lock picks I bought on the internet (you are supposed to be a licensed locksmith, I think, to have these!) and to my amazement, I pick the (cheap) lock within two minutes. I thought it would be harder because, in part, that it has engraved into the lock, “PG&E”, our state’s gas and electricity utility company.
Now, what was the reason we can’t electriy our vehicles to stop these jerks from messing with our property?
